Why I Stopped Using @Pinterest

Not only was my account hacked, I didn’t get a notification of the hack until days after and after I had changed my password. None the less, this isn’t the only reason.

I’m not a power social website user. I drop in from time to time on different social networks, post a few, +1/like a few, and share a few, and then I’m out. I really enjoyed Pinterest when I got an account there, I was using the bookmarklet and pinning left and right.

Then the problems started. The website is completely unusable on the iPad and my Android phone. I’m unable to do basic functions because the layout doesn’t work that well on these devices. Not only that, but the application on iOS has no sharing/pinning functionality. It is said to allow you to install a bookmarklet but there is no share feature that is built in most of the iOS applications. What about the device I use the most, my phone? There is yet an Android app and with a website that big, they should have an app ready within a short period of time.

I’m not that motivated to stay on Pinterest but I’ll stick around and see what happens.
